Lets look at your uses for Charizard. 

1)     Sit him on the bench and put 12 energies on him. Well, that will never 
work, because everyone plays energy removal and super energy removal now. 
Even worse, double colorless and Electrode as an energy can be removed. Also, 
Item Finder can be used to get back the energy removals that you use.

2)     Use him in a stall. That would be great, but Charizard is a stage2, so 
it is most likely that Charizard will have some damage on him before he can 
be evolved. Use Chansey or something basic instead.

3)     You 3rd use isn't really a use. Use him for his PoKemon Power? That 
just lets him use any energy, which doesn't solve the problem of energy 
removal. Use Alakazam or Blastoise for their Pokemon Powers.

Well, I guys since all these uses were not that good, Charizard is crappy 
again. Stick with just Charmeleon, or maybe even just Charmander. They're 
both good, and they don't cost 50 bucks.
